...lest we forget
The quote "Those who forget history are condemned to repeat it" is accurately stated by American philosopher George Santayana as "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it" in his work The Life of Reason: Reason in Common Sense.
I had a 30 minute discussion recently with television producer Jacquie Jordan and military dentist Dr. Phillip Buckler about the oppression of masking. We need to remind ourselves that if people still believe there is protection in a mask or a shot called a vaccine, we could find ourselves in the same situation again.

It's important to acknowledge and remember the harms because what I'm seeing now among my highly compliant loved ones is that they continue to go along with the crowd. The crowd just happens now to be not wearing masks, and saying things like "during COVID...." and "COVID is over...." and "we all did our part by taking those shots, wearing the masks....."
They are still absolutely taken in by it, and you wouldn't know this on the surface.... only if you know them and dig even slightly under the surface.
Where I live, there are still about 15% of grocery store shoppers and employees wearing masks (absolutely this is voluntary; not required -- I take it as a sign of deep programming and I do not trust this % of the population to think critically). But it is the other % of people -- unknown -- who are still asleep but going along with the now-unmasked crowd, that concerns me.
It's very hard, here, for people to admit to anyone that they did not fall for this, and did not take any shots. Because that would be outing ourselves as not being "one of us."
I will never forget the day I went to a store, planning to shop without my mask, and I saw a sign in the entryway that said, "masks required if you are unvaccinated. Masks optional for our vaccinated customers." So that was around Summer 2021, after the shots had rolled out with the carrot -- but not yet the stick or horrible mandates.
Every single person I know in real life fell for this scam. A few have woken up since then, but no one wants to talk about it. They just want to play pretend it never happened.
Dani, you’re not alone. Those who fell hardest for the lies were some of my most educated friends and relatives.
We will experience a repeat with the next planned epidemic, the “bird flu” if we don’t learn lessons now.
